AUTOCAD MAP 3D 2012 ESSENTIALS
Learn the fundamentals of AutoCAD Map 3D 2012 as well as, hands-on exercises, how to create, edit, manage, and analyze mapping data.
The user will be able to:
- Describe the AutoCAD Map 3D user interface
- Create and edit geometry
- Link and manage drawing-based attribute data
- Use object classification
- Establish a Geospatial Environment
- Edit Geospatial Features
- Import and export data for GIS and CAD users
- Work with raster images and DEM
- Work with source drawings
- Use source drawing queries
- Stylize Drawings and Features
Over the three day course, the user will gain experience using Map3D 2012 software. Through a variety of instructor lead hands-on tasks, the student will use Map3D based GIS tools to integrate drawing based and geospatial data sources. The user will learn to differentiate between the different techniques available in Map3D 2012 and to leverage their respective strengths implementing spatial data solutions they can use in their organization. The student will learn to create, edit and extract geometries, and to compile and integrate attribute information from various data sources including database and GIS, and to prepare map products for use by GIS and CAD users.
