
Autodesk Certified Faculty
At Pacific Alliance, you will receive training from one of our certified consultants. Together, they have a combined education experience of 100+ years! In the last five years, they have trained over 1,000 students from organization across BC and Alberta, and in other cities in Canada and the US. We are known for more than just our training delivery, we have also developed volumes of courseware for Bentley, Autodesk, Retrieve and our iVAULT product. We do training at your office or in our training rooms in Vancouver, Edmonton and Toronto.
GIS Instructors
Anthony Bonnici, B.Sc.(Comp.Sci – GIS)
Former Geomatics Professor at Sir Sandford Fleming College, Mr. Bonnici has more than 20 years practical experience in CAD and GIS. He has demonstrated excellence in project planning, database design and development, web programming and technical writing and training. He wrote and self-published the Mapping with MicroStation series of five books and authored many technical articles on GIS & programming. Mr. Bonnici is our expert trainer with Bentley’s and Autodesk’s CAD and GIS products.
Eric Schwartz, B.Env.S (GIS)
Eric has over 15 years of experience implementing and managing GIS projects in business, government and engineering environments. He has considerable Autodesk and ESRI experience, having worked with both technologies for a number of years. His students appreciate his extensive background in Autodesk products for training in AutoCAD and Autodesk’s GIS products.
AEC – Architecture & Building Engineering
Brant Forrester, AT
Brant is a seasoned member of our Autodesk faculty. He has been instructing Autodesk courses starting with ADT 3.3, AutoCAD 2000 and Revit 5.1. He has put the entire suite of architectural programs offered by Autodesk to practical application as a designer for residential construction and as a CAD manager while also creating architectural renderings and animations. Brant brings with him experience as a trainer for AutoDraft Inc. and a CAD Manager/designer with Sterling Homes and Sahuri & Partners Architecture.
David Matousek
Building on his design degree, David has used AutoCAD for over a dozen years. David is a leading Revit Expert and has provided extensive training on the Revit Suite of Products: Architecture, Structure and MEP. David brings his passion for the building industry to every project he works on.
Lina El Khoury
Lina provides practical training by drawing on her BIM expertise from her time as a National BIM Lead for a major architectural and engineering firm. Lina is a leading expert in Revit Architecture, Revit MEP, AutoCAD MEP and AutoCAD Architecture. She has worked on many of Western Canada’s most challenging building projects, including the automation of the manufacturing process for modular housing.
Wayne Palchinski
Drawing on 14 years of background in the Architectural and Structural industries, Wayne is an expert in AutoCAD, Revit Architecture and Revit Structure. With his knowledge of AutoLISP and VBA he has automated the standard working drawing process for many Architectural and Engineering firms.
Wes Macaulay, AT
Wes has over a decade of experience in architecture since graduating from BCIT. Driven to find solutions to the problems design firms face, Wes is now responsible for showing how the right software and the right work process can make AEC firms more capable and more profitable. Wes is a technical specialist in Revit and also an adjunct professor at BCIT where he instructs the Revit Architecture course.
AEC – Civil Engineering
Geoff Mitchell
Geoff has a broad range of expertise ranging from the development of enterprise GIS to detailed engineering design. Geoff has extensive civil engineering experience including the implementation of CADD systems and standards, performing complex design tasks on municipal and land development projects and providing leadership and mentoring to project design teams. He has successfully migrated many engineering firms to Civil3D.
Adam Koerner
Adam’s years as an Autodesk support specialist, application engineer, and developer of custom extensions to CAiCE and Civil3D have lead to his deep understanding of the product. His specialties in Civil3D corridor modeling, grading, and survey, but has extensive experience with most every major feature in the product.
Kevin Williams
Kevin brings 20 years of highway/construction and software experience to the table. With 18 of those years spent with the Ministry of Transportation and Highways, Kevin is fully qualified to teach both Civil3D and CAiCE BC MoTH Certified courses. Kevin has been responsible for training both public and private sector employees including MDS-PC, TSS and HSS. He also worked on MOT’s Beta test team for new macro and fragment technology including the pavement verlay/shouldering fragments, as well as the new minimum overlay profile macros and the new design profile plot macro.
Andrew Walther, P. Eng (Civil)
Andrew has provided training programs for Autodesk software for more than 15 years. He has an array of transportation engineering experience from functional planning to detailed design of road infrastructure. Andrew’s expertise also include management consulting and customized Autodesk AEC Civil Consulting Services, as well as authorization of Autodesk certified courseware for Civil 3D.
Alexander Wood of RTI
Alex received an A.A.S. degree in Computer-Aided Design & Drafting Technology in 1991 using AutoCAD Release 9 & 10. He now has more than 20 years of experience with Autodesk products including AutoCAD release 9 through version 2009, and various releases of AutoCAD Map 3D, Autodesk Land Desktop (DCA & Softdesk), AutoCAD Civil 3D, and AutoCAD Architectural Desktop.
